….. TODAY: Chris Brown has reportedly OFFICIALLY broken up with his girlfriend. He released a statement saying: “I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”

Rihanna and Chris spent the previous evening together and were photographed by famed hip hop journalist Elliott Wilson. They were later photographerd by TMZ leaving the same hotel at different times.

“Below My Feet”…

When I became honest with myself and took responsibility for anything “bad” or “shitty” happening in my life, I owned my future. Things got better. It’s true.

But holding that mirror to yourself reveals some unpleasantries before you realize all the wonderful. I did not like the woman I saw. I was making a ton of money and spending it irresponsibly, I was drinking way too much, I was dating a man who didn’t respect me and I made excuses for all of it.

I was in a situation where I was depressed all the time. I would be in this place where I felt like I couldn’t get out of the funk. Not only was I in my personal darkness, but the people around me were, from my vantage point, letting me down. A person can only take so much disappointment right? I was unhappy. I was making myself a victim of circumstance too. Like my boss, my situation, my enviornment was all at fault, when in reality it was my doing because of the way I looked at things. Granted there are some things you can’t control. Your boss taking your bonus away, your famlily member being sick, your home being infested by termites… OK, but the things in your power? YOU own that. YOU can change that. I had to do it. I wanted to win and find my joy.

I just had to blog about this because I see the change in my life and I’m extremely thankful. It’s because I work to be better. It’s hard! Sometimes it’s easier to be like “fuck you, fuck off, you fuck stick…” to life, to people in your life, to situations. Trust me LOL But in the end, this life is so delicious when you let it be good to you. When you focus on the positive. When you seek the good in it all. When you humble yourself and breathe.

And let the people who truly love you help you. They might need you just as much as you need them.
